House Natural Resources Committee schedules markup on bills





UPDATE: The markup has been rescheduled to 10:30am.

The House Natural Resources Committee holds a markup this Wednesday.

The agenda includes three Indian bills. They are:
H.R.623, the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium Land Transfer Act. The bill authorizes a land transfer between the federal government to the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium. The House Subcommittee on Indian and Alaska Native Affairs held a hearing on the bill on May 15.
H.R. 2388, a land-into-trust bill for the Shingle Springs Band of Miwok Indians in California. The subcommittee held a hearing on July 23.
H.R. 2650, the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Non-Intercourse Act, a land bill for the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians in Minnesota. A hearing was held on July 23.
The markup takes place at 10am in Room 1324 of the Longworth House Office Building. It will be webcast.
