Osage Nation makes cutbacks in WIC due to federal shutdown

The Osage Nation of Oklahoma is making cuts to its Women, Infant and Children program due to the shutdown of the federal government.

WIC vouchers for food have been eliminated altogether. And there's only about six weeks left of infant formula left.

Other programs could run out of money if the shutdown persists, Chief Red Eagle said. Head Start, Meals On Wheels, food distribution and other assistance are affected.
