Cocopah Tribe terminates its police chief after fatal shooting





The Cocopah Tribe of Arizona fired its police chief, who remains hospitalized following a fatal shooting incident.

James Spurgeon was stabbed and beaten during an attack early Saturday morning at an apartment in Yuma. A second man, Josh Collins, was found dead at the scene.

Authorities believe Collins confronted Spurgeon and Angela Cochnauer, who works for the police department, at the apartment They haven't said who shot Collins.
