Recall petition seeks ouster of four top Quinault Nation leaders

The four top leaders of the Quinault Nation of Washington are facing a recall.

Tribal members gathered enough signatures on a petition to recall President Fawn Sharp, Vice President Andrew Mail, Treasurer Larry Ralston and Secretary Latosha Underwood. A general council meeting will be held next Saturday, November 16, to vote on the recall.

"Any officer may be removed for any reason by a vote of the General Council on a recall petition, specifying the reasons for removal," the tribal constitution states.
