BIA employee charged with drunken driving in official vehicle





A Bureau of Indian Affairs employee has been charged with drunken driving while in his official U.S. government vehicle.

Dean Charles Gamble, 47, rangeland management specialist for BIA's Eastern Navajo Agency, was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, a fourth-degree felony. He allegedly refused a field sobriety test after nearly hitting a sheriff's deputy with his vehicle.

Gamble was arrested in Los Lunas, near Albuquerque, New Mexico.
