Family files wrongful death lawsuit against Nez Perce officer

A police officer and a former police chief for the Nez Perce Tribe of Idaho have been named in a wrongful death lawsuit.

Jeffrey Allen Flinn was shot and killed on November 12, 2011. The man's father and daughter say officer Robert S. Wall and former chief Leslie Hendrick are to blame for the death.

Wall was charged in state court with voluntary manslaughter but was acquitted. He was never charged in federal court.

A second officer was charged in federal court in connection with the incident but also was acquitted.
