A two-year-old boy from Saskatchewan was found safe on Monday afternoon after going missing for nearly 24 hours.

The boy apparently spent the night outside. He was found wearing just a t-shirt but does not appear to have suffered any injuries.

"The child was transported to the Angelique Health Centre in Pelican Narrows where he was treated for minor cuts and bug bites, but was otherwise said to be in good health," the Royal Canadian Mounted Police said. The overnight temperature was about 19 degrees Celsius, or 66 degrees Fahrenheit, according to the RCMP.

Jeffrey Custer, 24, and Kenny Canada, 17, were credited with finding the boy. He was in an area behind the Opawikoscikan School on the Pelican Narrows Reserve.

Pelican Narrows is part of the Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation.
