Yurok Tribe reports outcome of election for 3 council seats

Voters of the Yurok Tribe of California went to the polls last week.

Three council seats were up for grabs. In the Requa District, challenger Ryan Ray beat incumbent David Gensaw Sr. by just one vote, according to the unofficial results.

In the North District, incumbent Jack Mattz defeated Marjorie Donahue Buckskin by four votes. For the Weitchpec District, Thomas Willson Sr. defeated Victor Knight by four votes.
