Two young boys from the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe got to meet President Barack Obama during his visit to the reservation on Friday.

Trueth Ghost Crow, 4, and his friend, Elijah Goodhouse, 7, were dancers at the Cannon Ball Flag Day powwow. They walked up to the president, who was eager to talk to them despite concerns from the Secret Service, The Aberdeen News reported.

That’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience for most of us — to be in the same area as the president,” Tonya Hertel, Trueth’s mother, told the paper. “I just don’t think Trueth will ever realize — until he’s a lot older — how lucky he was to actually visit with the president and first lady.”

Hertel is hoping to get a picture of her son signed by Obama.
