A physician with the Indian Health Service has been arrested on child pornography charges.

Thomas Murray, 61, was employed at the Acoma-Canoncito-Laguna Service Unit located in Acoma Pueblo. Federal authorities say he transported, distribute and possessed child pornography.

Murray is non-Indian. He started working on the reservation last October, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.

The alleged activity occurred at Murray's home on the reservation and not at the IHS facility, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.
