Elwood Lowery, the chairman of the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe of Nevada, resigned unexpectedly this week. Lowery held the post for more than seven years, The Reno Gazette-Journal reported. But the reasons for his departure haven't been disclosed, the paper said. Vice chairman Vinton Hawley will act as interim chair, the paper reported.
