The Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians in California donated $225,000 to an ice skating facility that's due to open later this year.

The tribe's name will appear on the scoreboard for the main rink at the Ice In Paradise arena.

"This is a project that has been talked about for a long time, and we’re proud to be a part of it," Chairman Vincent Armenta said in a press release.

The facility is expected to open its doors in September.
