Federal prosecutors saw their first setback in a corruption probe that has targeted leaders and associates of the Chippewa Cree Tribe in Montana. Melody Henry, the former president of Stone Child College, and her husband, Frank Henry, who used to work at the college, were acquitted on all counts, The Havre Daily News reported. They were accused of theft and bribery but the jury did not return a guilty verdict on any of the charges. Melody Henry, however, still faces two other charges. She could go to trial April 13 unless she reaches a plea deal by March 30, the paper said. As part of the Guardians Project, the U.S. Attorney's Office in Montana has secured guilty pleas and guilty verdicts in more than a dozen cases on the Rocky Boy's Reservation. Get the Story:
