The Senate Indian Affairs Committee will be holding two more hearings before the end of May.

On Wednesday, the committee will look at Indian water rights settlements. The hearing takes place at 2:15pm in Room 628 of the Dirksen Senate Office Building.

Next week, the committee is going back on the road. A field hearing on economic development takes place on May 27 at the Anadarko High School in Anadarko, Oklahoma, the self-described Indian Capital of the Nation, where Native Americans represent nearly 49 percent of the population, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.

Since the start of the 114th Congress in January, the committee has held more than 20 hearings, business meetings and listening sessions. Two field hearings took place in Indian Country.
