Leaders and members of the Blackfeet Nation dedicated the addition of 162 names to the Montana Veterans Memorial.

Blackfeet veterans have been added to the memorial in the past. But now the tribe has a designated spot for its warriors.

"I think it's neat to have this, it kind of gives us a good feeling," 91-year-old Gertrude Heavy Runner told KFBB.

Albert Salway, a tribal member, spent seven months researching Blackfeet veterans to add to the monument. Some were soldiers who died in World War II.

A total of 240 names were added to the memorial in Great Falls on Monday.
