The Potawatomi Foundation, a non-profit formed by the Forest County Potawatomi Community of Wisconsin, awarded a $20,000 grant to the Milwaukee Indian Education Committee. The money will be used to purchase school supplies for Indian students in Milwaukee. The committee's typical budget for the program is $2,000 so the tribe's grant represented a huge boost, The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported.
