Poarch Creeks continue work on $200M entertainment facility

The Poarch Band of Creek Indians is building a $200 million entertainment and sports complex in Alabama..

The Foley Sports Tourism Complex is located on 520 acres in Foley. The project includes a 108,000 square-foot. event center, 16 sports fields, an amusement park, an RV park, restaurants, retail, a hotel and, eventually, a water park.

“Poarch Creek has brought enthusiasm to the project. It’s been a long time coming," Don Staley, the facility's executive director, told Construction Equipment Guide.

The Creek Indian Enterprises Development Authority took complete control of the project earlier this year.
