Presley Byington, a 34-year-old firefighter from the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, escaped death on the Wind River Reservation in Wyoming but lost crew partner Jim Burnett on Friday.

Byington and other members of the crew went through a "decompression period" to deal with the loss and the events. Byington returned home to Oklahoma yesterday.
