Suquamish Tribe wants to manage state park
Monday, November 17, 2003

The Suquamish Tribe of Washington has offered a plan to manage a state park.

Old Man House State Park has significant cultural and historical value to the tribe. But non-Indians worry that they will be denied access if it is turned over to the tribe.

The tribe says it won't deny non-members. The proposed management plan is part of the state's decision-making process on the park.
