Testimony resumes into death of Native teen
Tuesday, November 25, 2003

The inquiry into the death of a Native teen in Saskatchewan, Saskatoon, resumed on Monday.

Neil Stonechild, 17, was found dead on the outskirts of town in 1990. Police were looking for him the night he was last seen alive. A witness testified that he last saw Stonechild in the back of a police cruiser.

On Monday, a former sergeant who was in charge of the original police investigation into Stonechild's death testified. He said the Stonechild family wasn't cooperative and denied there was an attempt to coverup police involvement in the death.
