The Society for the Advancement of Native Interests-Today (SANI-T) has joined other groups in proposing a citizen review commission in Rapid City, South Dakota.

The commission would examine police policies, conduct public hearings, make recommendations and report findings of investigations into police harassment.

The idea for the commission was advanced at a meeting on racism yesterday. The Undoing Racism Task Force is looking at ways to address racism and discrimination in Rapid City.
