Man on trial for murder on Crow Reservation

A man from the Crow Reservation in Montana faces life in federal prison and a $250,000 fine, plus other penalties, for allegedly murdering another man.

Quinton Birdinground Jr., 23, is charged with second-degree murder, assault resulting in serious bodily injury and use of a firearm in a crime of violence. He allegedly shot and killed Emerson Pickett, 30, whom he had found with his ex-girlfriend.

Birdinground has been on trial in federal court since Monday.
