The traditional three-chief system of the St. Regis / Akwesasne Mohawk Tribe of New York has been affirmed, "Casino Confidential" reports today.

The Department of Interior attorney who handles Indian issues has ruled in the chiefs favor. Their rivals might sue, Steve Israel reports.

The two groups have battled in recent months over who gets to build a casino in the Catskills.
