Citing slow-moving treaty negotations with the provincial government, the Cheam First Nation in BC may set up a blockade on another road this long weekend. The Nation has already blocked one road in protest over a land dispute. Yesterday, leaders were upset for not being invited to a briefing on the land dispute. The government has said they will not move forward with negotations until Nation officials end the blockade.
