More security comes to casinos

Several casinos owned by California Tribes are beefing up their security, due to expanded gaming ushered in by the passage of Proposition 1A in March. With the recent and future addition of slot machines to many gambling floors as well as the availability of alcohol, tribes like the Twenty-Nine Palms Band of Mission Indians, owners of Spotlight 29 casino in Coachella and the Cabazon Band of Mission Indians, owners of the Fantasy Springs Casino in Indio, are adding more positions to their existing security staff.
