Stand Up for California has established a fundraising committee in its battle against a casino for the North Fork Rancheria of Mono Indians.

The committee is called "Keep Vegas-Style Casinos Out of Neighborhoods, a project of Stand Up for California." It will raise money to put the anti-casino initiative on the 2014 ballot and to campaign for its passage.

The group must collect 504,760 signatures by October 1 in order to qualify for the ballot.
