Native kids sent home from dilapidated school

A school on the Pikangikum First Nation in Ontario has been closed and all children sent home after several buildings being used as classrooms were condemned.

Chief Alex Peters blames the federal government. He said the First Nation was promised a new school. The buildings that were condemned were built between 10 and 30 years ago.

The school is already overcrowded. It was built for 250 students but enrollment is up to 750.
