Anti-gaming group questions Anderson as head of BIA

The National Coalition Against Gambling Expansion is questioning Dave Anderson's credentials as head of the Bureau of Indian Affairs.

The group raised Anderson's past involvement in gaming, according to The Boston Herald. Anderson once ran a firm that managed casinos for tribes but sold the business. He has pledged to recuse himself from decisions affecting a former business partner, who has decisions pending before the BIA.

The group sent the letter to President Bush, asking for a moratorium on federal recognition and gaming decisions.
