The principal of a Bureau of Indian Affairs school on the Navajo Nation has been muzzled by the agency, The Farmington Daily Times reports.
Lake Valley Navajo Principal Craig Brandow is currently feuding with the school board for reasons largely unknown. Board members claim he wouldn't allow an eighth-grade graduation ceremony to take place at the school.
The ceremony was instead held at the Lake Valley Chapter House in New Mexico on Tuesday.
The chapter has passed a resolution calling for Brandow's removal but
BIA officials wouldn't allow him to talk to the media and referred the paper to Washington, D.C.
