First Nations University makes insurance payment

The troubled First Nations University of Canada has made an insurance payment to cover employee health and pension plans.

FNUC failed to make the payment even though employees were still seeing the deduction on their paychecks. An official said the school fell behind on its bills.

FNUC is undergoing a financial and management shakeup. The school might close one of its campuses and could be $3 million in debt, according to news reports.
