Flandreau Indian School to get $2M in road upgrades

The Flandreau Indian School in South Dakota will receive $2 million in road upgrades under the highway transportation bill.

The Flandreau Santee Sioux Tribe lobbied for the funds. The tribe has authority over roads at the school, which is part of the Bureau of Indian Affairs system.

President Bush is expected to sign the $284 bill on Wednesday.
