FBI closes investigation on Enterprise Rancheria

The Enterprise Rancheria of California is no longer being investigated by the FBI, The Marysville-Yuba City Appeal-Democrat reports.

The tribe was under investigation for alleged misused of funds. But no one was ever arrested or charged and the FBI closed the probe "over eight months ago," a special agent in Sacramento said.

Opponents of the tribe, however, have continued to claim the investigation is ongoing. The tribe is hoping to acquire land outside of its rancheria boundaries, an effort being opposed by two other tribes.
