Hoop Dance Championship this weekend in Phoenix


The 15th annual World Championship Hoop Dance Contest will be held at the Heard Museum in Phoenix, Arizona, this weekend.

More than 12,000 people are expected to watch more than 50 competitors, ages 2 to 80, compete for various titles. Dancers come from tribes across the nation.

Daniel Tramper, 40, is the reigning adult champion. Nakota LaRance, 15, is the reigning teen champion. And two-time female champion Lisa Odjig is back to compete for another title.
