Interview with Navajo Nation President Joe Shirley Jr.


Navajo Nation President Joe Shirley Jr. says its been "nothing but good" since taking office as the leader of the largest tribe in the U.S.

Shirley shared his thoughts on a number of issues in an interview with The Farmington Daily Times. He said he has seen "many" successes, including a water rights settlement with the state of New Mexico and the legalization of gaming.

Shirley said he doesn't have "any regret" for his actions since 2002. He declined to say whether he will seek re-election next year.
