Navajo community reopens Boys and Girls Club

The Boys and Girls Club in Huerfano, New Mexico, has finally reopened under a partnership with the Navajo Nation.

The 14 clubs were on the reservation were operated by a non-profit organization. But Navajo Nation President Joe Shirley Jr. took them under the tribe's wing, prompting a funding dispute that shuttered the clubs.

The tribe has since reopened several clubs, including the latest one in Huerfano. The next club will be dedicated in Ft. Defiance, Arizona, on Wednesday.
