Canoes arrive in Washington for annual journey


As many as 70 canoes from the United States and Canada are taking part in this year's Inter-Tribal Canoe Journey.

The canoes are making their way through Washington this week. Some are landing at various beaches before heading to the Muckleshoot Reservation near Seattle.

The Muckleshoot Tribe hosts the final gathering August 1-5. Thousands usually turn out for the weeklong celebration.
