Walt Big Crow has been reinstated as a council member for the Oglala Sioux Tribe of South Dakota.

Big Crow had been suspended for 20 days. Another council member tried to have him impeached at the impeachment hearing for President Cecelia Fire Thunder, who had been suspended for 68 days before being reinstated.

Big Crow was accused of mismanagement of the transportation department and mishandling of a $754,000 payment to an Indian-owned contractor. After a daylong hearing, the council voted to reinstate Big Crow.
