Family believes Red Lake boys were abducted

The family of two brothers who went missing on the Red Lake Reservation in Minnesota is "very certain" that they were abducted, an uncle told Indian Country Today.

Tristan A. White, 4, and Avery Lee Stately, 2, disappeared a week ago today. A massive ground and air search failed to turn up any sign of the boys.

"The family is not giving up, our hopes are still up,'' Myron Jones Jr., the boys' uncle, told ICT.

The search has been pulled back but the FBI says it won't stop looking for the boys. Special agent Paul McCabe said the agency has ruled out abduction by a family member or relative.

The FBI is offering a $20,000 reward. Anyone with information should contact the FBI at 612-376-3200, or the Red Lake Tribal Police Department at 218-679-3313.
