Stewart Clah, Navajo Code Talker, dies at age of 87
Stewart Clah, a Navajo Code Talker who served in World War II, died on Sunday. He was 87.

Clah lied about his age and joined the Marines around 1940. He served in Midway, Saipan, Guam and Guadalcanal, transmitting military messages using the Navajo language. He received the silver Medal of Honor for his actions.

Clah finally came home in December 1945. He raised his family on the Navajo Nation in northwestern New Mexico.
