Sen. McCain was planning tribal event in Arizona
Sen. John McCain (R-Arizona) has been planning a tribal event that is supposed to take place in Arizona sometime this month, Indian Country Today reports.

Former Sen. Ben Nighthorse Campbell, a member of the Northern Cheyenne Tribe of Montana, said the campaign promised to host the event. But nothing appears to have been scheduled so far, ICT says.

McCain, the former chairman of the Senate Indian Affairs Committee, have been invited to the National Congress of American Indians annual convention in Phoenix later this month. Sen. Barack Obama (D-Illinois) has been invited as well.
