Crow Tribe offers thanks for assistance during recent floods

The Crow Tribe of Montana offered thanks to the community in Billings for helping its members during recent flooding.

Over 300 tribal members fled the reservation and sought shelter in Billings. Most have returned but over 200 homes were damaged or destroyed.

"From the valley of the Little Bighorn all the way up to the Yellowstone on up to the Musselshell, Montanans have suffered," Secretary Scott Russell said at a ceremony, The Billings Gazette reported. "But we've also endured and we've come together as community. We've helped one another."
