Haskell University anticipates new president 'very soon'

After more than a year without a president, Haskell Indian Nations University in Kansas expects to have a new leader "very soon," a spokesperson said.

Ten people were reported to be candidates for the job. Keith Moore, the director of the Bureau of Indian Education, recently concluded interviews and expects to make a decision soon.

Linda Sue Warner, a member of the Comanche Nation of Oklahoma, resigned last November. She had been on detail since September 2009.
