Yvette Roubideaux set for IHS director confirmation hearing





The Senate Indian Affairs Committee holds a confirmation hearing on Wednesday for Yvette Roubideaux to serve another term as director of the Indian Health Service.

Roubideaux, a member of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe, joined the Obama administration in May 2009. On April 23, President Barack Obama nominated her for a second term.

Roubideaux is expected to be the only witness at the hearing. It takes place at 2:30pm on Wednesday, June 12, in Room 628 of the Senate Dirksen Office Building.
