Acquitted Tohono's Manuel survives ouster vote

TUESDAY, MARCH 18, 2003 Acquitted of solicitation for prostitution, the chairman of the Tohono O'odham Nation of Arizona survived an ouster vote on Monday. The tribal council voted 14 to 7 to retain Edward Manuel. He was found not guilty by a jury in Tucson of solicitation. Get the Story:
