Although he won't be voting in the process, Representative Patrick Kennedy (D-RI) on Monday called on blocking the nomination of John Ashcroft for Attorney General.

Ashcroft's hearing before the Committee on the Judiciary begins today.

Kennedy co-founded the Native American Caucus for the National Democrat Party, the first of its kind for any party.
