Work on the largest capacity wind turbine farm in the nation is underway on the Campo Reservation in southern California.

The Campo Band of Kumeyaay Indians is hosting an $80 million farm with 25 turbines. Each of the turbines has the capacity to generate up to 2 megawatts of electricity, making it the largest in the U.S., officials said.

The tribe will receive fees and royalties in a 20-year agreement with San Diego Gas & Electric. The turbines are slated to go online in November.
