Native man can't get help for asbestos in home

A man from the Grand Rapid First Nation in northern Manitoba lives in one of 11 homes identified as high risk for asbestos exposure but he can't get any help to address the problem.

Ken Cook says he has asked for assistance but the Indian and Northern Affairs Department hasn't done anything. He fears he may develop cancer from exposure to asbestos.

Health Canada has said First Nation homes all across Canada are at risk of exposure to asbestos but the government doesn't plan on doing anything about it.
