Churchill calls for halt in university investigation

Controversial University of Colorado professor Ward Churchill says an investigation into his alleged misconduct should end, The Denver Post reports.

Churchill is accused of plagiarism, fabrication and academic fraud. But he says the charges have been watered down so much that they are worthless to pursue.

Churchill was also accused of misrepresenting his alleged Indian heritage. A subcommittee recommended not pursuing this issue. Churchill has claimed Cherokee, Creek and other ancestry.
