Shoshone-Bannock Tribes accept $60M to settle trust lawsuit

The Shoshone-Bannock Tribes of Idaho settled a trust mismanagement lawsuit for $60 million.

The tribe filed a lawsuit over trust funds and trust assets. Allegations of mismanagement dated to the 1940s, an attorney said.

The $60 million is one of the largest reached by the Obama administration. Earlier this month, 41 tribes announced settlements totaling $1.023 billion.
