The Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut continues to expand its reach into the restaurant and food industry.

The tribe will open a new location of Pasta Vita, a gourmet food company, on the reservation and will consider more locations. The partnership marks the fourth food franchise deal for the tribe.

“We’re very excited to have this opportunity to expand our concept — maybe outside Connecticut,” Pasta Vita owner Rich Cersosimo told The New London Day.

Separately, the tribe announced an expansion of its Northeast Wood Products. The company acquired another wood-pellet manufacturing plant to add to the operation.
